Natural Remedies For Teeth Whitening

There are so many advertisements on television and magazines about teeth whitening.  Most of them costs about $35 and more.  Here are some natural, simple ways to whiten your teeth.

1 - take the inside of a banana peel and gently rub it all around your teeth for about 2-3 minutes.  Some of the minerals such as potassium and magnesium absorb in your teeth and whiten them.

2 - you can do the same with orange peels as well.

3 - in a bowl, mix some baking soda with freshly squeezed lemon. Apply on teeth and leave on for only 1 minute and then brush teeth.

4 - massage olive oil to the teeth and leave on for 2-3 minutes and then brush.

We all suffer from bad breath every now and then.
Bad breath is caused by undigested food, the kinds of foods you eat, tooth decay, oral hygiene, lack of brushing and flossing the teeth, lack of scraping the tongue and poor diet.

Luckily, nature is great and by making this miracle shake, it will definitely fight bad breath.

Wash both spinach and parsley, put them in a blender and add some lemon juice and warm water.
Mix all the ingredients well and add cinnamon and honey at the end.
You can keep this powerful shake in the fridge and consume before your first meal.

Recipe 1 - Cilantro Chutney

Here's a great Maharishi Ayurvedic cilantro recipe.

This is a simple recipe using the remarkable coriander leaf (cilantro).  It is not only delicious, it is a safe way to begin purifying deep toxins (known as garavisha) from the body.  You can eat cilantro chutney with holy basil (tulsi) as an addition to your diet.  The cilantro is said to help remove heavy metals and the holy basil is helpful in eliminating two particular kinds of toxins recognized by Ayurveda - amavisha and garavisha.  If you grow it in your home, it helps purify the air as well.  It grows easily in most spring/summer north American climates.

The recipe:
  • 8 teaspoons of chopped organic cilantro leaf
  • 1 teaspoon of shredded organic ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of organic lime or lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon of chopped holy basil leaf
To make this delicious Ayurvedic chutney, just add a little water and blend together to a thin paste.  Add salt to taste.  You can use this chutney with cooked vegetables, rice and other grains and flat breads.
